Fatshimetrie, July 14, 2024 – Congolese international athlete Dominique Lasconi Mulamba is preparing with determination to represent the Democratic Republic of Congo in the 100 meter flat event at the 2024 Olympic Games which will take place in Paris, France, from 23 July to August 11. This was revealed by Hugues Mafo, National Technical Director of the Congo Athletics Federation (Feaco), during a recent interview.
Mafo expressed his confidence in the athlete, saying: “We are betting a lot on this athlete for this world competition and we hope that he will bring home a medal for his country.”
Dominique Lasconi Mulamba has already moved to France to complete his final training sessions before the official start of the Olympic Games. Having moved to Senegal in 2022 due to the lack of suitable infrastructure in the DRC, he trained at the Dakar training center to improve his performance and proudly represent his country in international competitions.
His best performance this year took place on April 20, 2024, during the Saint Denis meeting in Dakar, where he achieved a time of 10 seconds and 16 hundredths.
The determination and professionalism of Dominique Lasconi Mulamba make him a hope for the Democratic Republic of Congo at the 2024 Olympic Games. We look forward to seeing how he will stand out on the world athletics stage and what medal he will bring home in his country.
