Article on political news in the DRC: UDPS/Tshisekedi delegation on a trip to Paris-Brussels
In May 2023, the Secretary General of the UDPS/Tshisekedi, Augustin Kabuya, led a delegation on a trip along the Paris-Brussels axis. During their trip, Kabuya and his delegation met various political figures and UDPS delegations.
Their journey began at Zaventem airport, where the delegation was warmly welcomed by activists from their party and other UDPS allies. They then had a day of discussions with different groups, such as the members of the Federations of Great Britain and Belgium and the federal committee of the Great Britain delegation.
The SG encouraged unity, discipline and non-exposure of party problems in social networks. He also recalled the importance of considering all UDPS fighters, whether in opposition or in power.
The delegation also traveled to Paris, where they met members of the French federation and visited a hospitalized member of the party. They then returned to Brussels to meet individuals and members of the Dutch and German federations.
The highlight of their trip was the meeting with the UDPS community of Belgium, where the SG held an intervention in front of hundreds of fighters. Their trip is a demonstration of the UDPS/Tshisekedi’s commitment to building strong relationships with its allies and encouraging unity and discipline within the party.
