Bralima, a model of compliance with the law on subcontracting in the DR Congo.

Subcontracting in the private sector is a major issue in the Democratic Republic of Congo. To ensure compliance with the law and support the ARSP, the General Manager of Brasseries, Limonaderies and Malteries (Bralima) has undertaken to be a model for the application of the law relating to subcontracting.

In the presence of the DG of the ARSP, Victor Madiela insisted on underlining the importance of respecting the laws of the Republic. Aware of his educational missions, he affirmed that his company would apply the law without hesitation and help the government of the Republic to reduce the unemployment rate.

This positive initiative is in line with government cooperation and marks an encouraging first step towards the establishment of a regulatory framework on subcontracting in the country.

The importance of subcontracting is reflected in the economic and social situation of the Democratic Republic of Congo which has deteriorated in recent years, according to a study of the opposition. If the international community becomes more involved in the application of these rules, this could guarantee a fairer and more sustainable economy for the development of the country. Subcontracting is a major lever for job creation and sustainable economic growth.

In short, Bralima’s commitment to the application of the law on subcontracting is very good news for the country and the entire economic sector. This initiative could inspire other major players to engage more in similar initiatives to put in place a quality regulatory framework in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
