The Rap and Slam Festival (Festiras) was a great success during its second edition which ended recently in Bukavu, capital of the province of South Kivu. The event was marked by the presence of La Fouine, a Franco-Moroccan star, who offered an exceptional show that will be remembered.
As soon as he entered the stage, La Fouine was greeted by a delirious crowd, chanting his name with enthusiasm. Throughout his show, he managed to captivate the public by performing his great classics such as “Paname” or “Vini Vidi Vici”. The young people present took up each of his songs in chorus, thus creating an electric atmosphere.
During his show, La Fouine also made a nod to Fally Ipupa, by broadcasting the latter’s song “SL”. A surprise that delighted the fans present in the room. The star also invited the young guitarist Victoire Zagabe on stage, thanking him for his talent.
Beyond the show, La Fouine expressed his admiration for eastern DRC, a region often associated with alarming news. He said he now has a different perspective on this situation and called on young people to unity, stressing that they represent the future of Africa.
In addition to La Fouine, the MPR group also marked the Rap and Slam Festival with a mixture of oratorical art and a message for change. Yekima from Bel’Art, meanwhile, offered a remarkable show combining business with pleasure.
This second edition of the Festiras will therefore remain as a major event in Bukavu, bringing a new perspective to the region and highlighting the importance of music in the consolidation of peace and living together
