The Suminwa government in the DRC: Transparency, Integrity and Commitment to the future

The Suminwa government, newly installed in the Democratic Republic of Congo, under the leadership of Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka, began its mandate with determination and commitment. During the recent meeting of the Council of Ministers, clear directives were given to ensure the smooth functioning and efficiency of the government team.

The importance of transparency and integrity was underlined by the Prime Minister, recalling the obligation for members of the government to file their declaration of family assets before the Constitutional Court, in accordance with article 99 of the Constitution. This measure aims to promote probity and prevent any conflict of interest within the executive.

At the same time, the Prime Minister insisted on adherence to the six commitments of the President of the Republic, which constitute the government’s roadmap for the consolidation of achievements and the development of the country. These commitments, focused on social justice, improving the living conditions of citizens and promoting good governance, will guide the actions of the Suminwa government during its mandate.

In addition to these fundamental aspects, practical recommendations were made regarding organization and communication within the government. Limiting the number of cabinet members, attendance at official meetings and respect for administrative procedures were highlighted as essential elements for the smooth running of the administration.

Cohesion, consistency and the public image of government have also been highlighted as key elements in ensuring credibility and citizen trust. Transparent and effective communication will be essential to inform the population of the actions and decisions taken by the government, thus promoting citizen engagement and participation.

In short, the Suminwa government positions itself as a team determined to meet the challenges that arise and to realize the aspirations of the Congolese people. With transparent governance, integrity and oriented towards the well-being of all, this new administration is called upon to leave a positive mark on the history of the country and pave the way for a prosperous future for all its citizens.
