The Single Window for Business Creation, recently inaugurated in Matadi in the Kongo-Central province, marks a major step forward for the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Under the aegis of the provincial Minister of Justice and in the presence of the World Bank Country Representative, this ambitious project aims to simplify and accelerate the formalization and business creation procedures in the province.
This initiative is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the Kongo-Central province and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Support Project (PADMPME), financially supported by the World Bank. Indeed, the operationalization of the Single Window constitutes a concrete response to the needs of local entrepreneurs, by providing a facilitating framework for administrative procedures related to business creation.
By providing simplified and centralized access to all required formalities, the Matadi Single Window for Business Creation provides relief to project leaders and entrepreneurs who previously encountered difficulties in formalizing their activities. Thanks to this new structure, the 1,286 women entrepreneurs who benefited from the in-kind subsidy, as well as all economic players in the province, now have an essential tool to bring their projects to life and thus contribute to local economic development.
The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Support Project strongly encourages entrepreneurs to take ownership of this new service, which is intended to be a lever for the growth and sustainability of businesses. By promoting the professionalization of entrepreneurial initiatives and simplifying administrative procedures, the Matadi Single Window for Business Creation is fully in line with an approach to supporting entrepreneurship and job creation in the region.
In conclusion, the inauguration of the Single Window for Business Creation in Matadi represents a crucial step in strengthening the local economic fabric. By facilitating access to business creation formalities and encouraging the growth of entrepreneurship, this initiative demonstrates a strong desire to boost the private sector and foster an environment conducive to innovation and economic growth.
