**A look back at the inspiring journey of Nathalie-Aziza Munana: an icon of social commitment in Congo**
Nathalie-Aziza Munana, appointed Minister of Social Affairs in May 2024, perfectly embodies humanitarian and social commitment in Congo. Originally from Kipushi, this woman with a remarkable career has dedicated her life to helping the most disadvantaged in society.
After university studies in Belgium, Nathalie-Aziza Munana returned to her native region in 1987 to found the MAZEX Trading Company, a company specializing in personal protective and sports equipment. However, it was following a family tragedy in 1988, the death of his sister leaving six children, that his humanitarian commitment took on a new dimension.
In 1989, she created the Ministry of AIDS Orphans, an initiative aimed at supporting children affected by the disease. This altruistic action subsequently extended to widows and people with reduced mobility, giving birth to the Calixte Munana Foundation (FCM) in 1996.
