“The Entrepreneurship Guarantee Fund in Congo: An opportunity for Congolese entrepreneurs to develop their activities and create jobs”

The Entrepreneurship Guarantee Fund in Congo (FOGEC) continues to actively support Congolese entrepreneurs by granting them funds to develop their activities. During a ceremony organized in Kinshasa, FOGEC awarded an envelope of 1,800,000 USD to 90 managers of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

These entrepreneurs, spread over 15 provinces of the DRC, were selected after submitting their business plan to the National Agency for the Development of Congolese Entrepreneurship (ANADEC). They expressed their joy at having benefited from this funding, which will allow them to realize their projects and develop their businesses.

FOGEC, in partnership with ECOBANK and BGFI Bank, offers financing for a period of three years, with an interest rate of 5% per annum. Its objective is to help Congolese entrepreneurs to access financing more easily and to negotiate more flexible credit conditions in their favour.

This FOGEC initiative is of great importance for the Congolese economy, as it encourages entrepreneurship and promotes job creation. It also makes it possible to energize the various provinces of the country by supporting local initiatives.

However, to optimize the benefits of this initiative, it is essential that Congolese entrepreneurs are informed of these funding opportunities and are encouraged to apply for each call for projects. It is also important that the selection procedures are transparent and fair in order to ensure an equitable distribution of funds and to promote balanced economic development in all regions of the DRC.

In conclusion, the Entrepreneurship Guarantee Fund in Congo (FOGEC) plays an essential role in supporting Congolese entrepreneurs. By offering financing and favorable credit conditions, it contributes to economic development and job creation in the country. It is essential that this initiative is widely disseminated and that entrepreneurs are encouraged to seize these opportunities to develop their businesses and contribute to the economic growth of the DRC
