Congolese football is in the spotlight this weekend. Congolese players have been particularly successful in their respective leagues, scoring goals and providing assists. Even though the sports season is coming to an end, Congolese abroad continue to do wonders on the pitch.
In Belgium, thank God Mbokani shone on behalf of the last day of the second division play-offs. Beveren won the game against Club Brugge U – 23 with a score of 4 goals to 1, with Mbokani scoring the fourth goal of the match. He scored 6 goals and made 2 assists in 6 consecutive matches.
In France, during the 35ᵉ day of Ligue 2, L. Mpasi-Nzau made his eighth consecutive match keeping his clean sheet four times. Rodez and Paris Fc parted ways with a goalless draw.
In the Netherlands, Willem II won the match against Utrecht, with the score of 3 goals to nil, with Bokila who scored the third goal of the match in the 89ᵉ minute. It was his 8th goal of the season.
