The long-awaited event, the EclosionHack 2024 Hackathon organized by the French Institute of Goma, recently ignited the city’s cultural scene. This initiative, orchestrated by the cultural incubator EclosionHub, aroused overwhelming enthusiasm among the 50 young creatives from Goma selected to participate in this ambitious adventure.
From April 25 to 27, these promising talents embarked on a marathon of creativity, working in teams to integrate new technologies in the field of art and culture. Their mission? Design innovative digital solutions to respond to local challenges and revolutionize the creation, production, distribution and marketing of cultural content.
Under the leadership of Vincent Asani, Coordinator of the cultural incubator, the participants competed in ingenuity to develop impactful projects. From developing a solid business plan to creating a working prototype, these young talents have demonstrated their ability to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
At the end of two days of intense reflection and hard work, three projects stood out and were rewarded by a jury of experts. Ziva, Yetu Museum and GuestAuthentification won financial grants to realize their ideas and bring their projects to life.
But this Hackathon doesn’t stop there. All selected projects will now be integrated into the EclosionHub incubation program, benefiting from personalized support to help them develop their skills in cultural entrepreneurship and carry out their initiatives.
This innovative initiative, supported by the Équipe France Création Fund from the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, demonstrates the commitment of the French Institute of Goma to innovation and creativity in the field of art and culture.
In summary, the EclosionHack 2024 Hackathon was a real success, highlighting the talent and daring of young creatives from Goma. An adventure rich in emotions, discoveries and promises for the future of the region’s cultural scene.
