On the sidelines of the 9th Francophonie Games taking place in Kinshasa, the DRC ambassador to Canada organized a dinner in honor of the Canadian delegation. This initiative has strengthened the ties of friendship between the two countries.
The DRC’s ambassador to Canada, Joska Kabongo, spoke about this meeting: “It is quite normal that on the sidelines of these Games of La Francophonie, we can organize this diplomatic dinner which allowed us to exchange on a number of issues that concern our countries. This circumstance was created for rapprochement between the partners”. He also highlighted the good relations between the DRC and Canada since independence.
For his part, the Canadian Ambassador to the DRC, Pierre Benoît, welcomed this initiative and highlighted the moments of sharing and discussions on bilateral priorities between the two countries.
This dinner was an opportunity to discuss the strengthening of cooperation and prospects for the development of sports disciplines between the DRC and Canada.
