“Inspection of territorial development work in the DRC: a worrying but promising inventory!”

Title: “The inspection of territorial development works in the DRC”

Introduction :
The evolution of the Local Territorial Development Program in the Democratic Republic of Congo is a major challenge for the development of the country. In this context, the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) plays a key role in monitoring the execution of this program. A recent inspection mission was carried out by a delegation of the IGF in the province of Kasaï Oriental in order to assess the progress of the works and to ensure the proper management of the allocated funds.

A disappointing observation in the territory of Tshilenge:
During this mission, the IGF delegation noted major problems in the territory of Tshilenge. Indeed, the inhabitants destroyed the building under construction of the administrative center due to the use of fired bricks instead of cement ones, as in other sites. Despite these obstacles, the IGF remains optimistic about the completion of the work and emphasizes the importance of ensuring the proper use of construction materials.

Progress despite the constraints:
In other territories visited, such as Katanda and Manda, work has progressed despite the difficulties related to the delivery of materials. The Deputy Administrator of Katanda Territory stresses the importance of the policy of the President of the Republic, which aims to guarantee optimal study conditions for children and quality care.

Assessing the quantity and quality of materials:
The IGF has inspectors equipped with instruments to accurately determine the quantity and quality of materials used in the work. This ensures transparency and compliance with building standards, while avoiding risks to the public purse.

Conclusion :
The inspection of territorial development work in the DRC is essential to ensure the proper management of allocated funds and the quality of infrastructure. Despite the challenges encountered, the IGF remains committed to monitoring this program, which is crucial for the country’s development
