**Support for nursing students: A commendable gesture by MP Jamilu Umar**
Commitment to education is crucial for the development and well-being of communities. This was highlighted by Jamilu Umar, representative of Bungudu and Maru constituency in the Nigerian House of Representatives, while distributing funds to beneficiaries in Bungudu.
A total of 309 nursing students, from the local areas of Bungudu and Maru, benefited from this initiative. Of these, 288 are studying at the Zamfara School of Nursing in Gusau and 21 at the Federal University of Dutsamma (FUDMA). Each student will receive an aid of ₦30,000, demonstrating Jamilu Umar’s unwavering support for education in his constituency.
The focus on health students is part of a broader effort to build health care capacity within the community. By promoting the training of local health professionals, the MP contributes to the improvement of health services in the region.
