“Visit of the Minister of Information to Jigawa: Nigeria towards a prosperous and secure future”

The recent visit of the Minister of Information and National Guidance, Naja Idris, to Jigawa has sparked enthusiasm among the people of the state. Accompanied by CEOs of federal information agencies and senior presidential officials, the minister met with the state governor, Malam Umar Namadi, to discuss President Bola Tinubu’s initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.

Idris stressed that despite the current economic challenges, the difficult decisions taken by the federal government are temporary and will benefit everyone in the long term. He insisted on the importance of patience and understanding on the part of the population in the face of the current difficulties.

The Minister highlighted President Tinubu’s commitment to support all subnational governments in Nigeria, stressing that all Nigerians deserve peace, security, prosperity and progress, regardless of where they reside, language or religion .

Idris also highlighted Jigawa’s central role in the Federal Government’s food security initiative, stressing that food security is one of the eight pillars of President Tinubu’s Agenda of ‘Renewed Hope’.

He mentioned the success of the African Development Bank-funded dry season cropping program focused on five key commodities that are already having a significant impact on food availability and affordability in the country.

The minister highlighted the five objectives of his ministry including restoring public confidence, amplifying government policies, inspiring Nigerian narratives, strengthening national values ​​and enhancing technology and talent in federal government information and communications systems.

Governor Namadi expressed confidence in the ongoing agricultural projects in the state, saying they would transform Jigawa into a leading food hub in Nigeria.

This visit and collaboration illustrates the government’s commitment to ensuring that citizens are informed of actions taken on their behalf for their benefit, while encouraging a national reorientation to build a country where everyone is aware of their rights and responsibilities.
