**Transco receives a new fleet of Mercedes buses in Kinshasa: A big step for transport in the DRC**
The Transco company recently received a significant reinforcement in its public transport fleet in Kinshasa. Indeed, the Congolese government, through the Minister of Transport Marc Ekila, handed over 10 new Mercedes buses to the company. This new lot is part of a partnership with the company Supreme Automobile, thus demonstrating the desire to modernize the public transport network in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
These buses, which are added to the machines already in circulation, represent significant progress for the accessibility and quality of public transport in Kinshasa. The Minister of Transport himself highlighted the quality of these new vehicles, inviting the population to borrow them with complete confidence. He shared his own experience on board these buses, highlighting their technical and mechanical reliability.
Beyond the material aspect, this initiative aims to improve the travel conditions of the inhabitants of Kinshasa. Indeed, the availability of modern and well-maintained buses not only helps facilitate daily travel, but also guarantees quality service for users.
Minister Ekila also discussed planning a regular delivery of new buses, with the aim of optimizing the Transco network and meeting the growing needs of the population. He emphasized the importance of preserving these investments by encouraging company employees to take care of them as if they were their own property.
This initiative marks a significant step forward in the transport sector in the DRC, demonstrating the government’s desire to modernize infrastructure and meet the travel needs of citizens. This is an important step towards better accessibility and greater efficiency of public transport services in Kinshasa. Let us hope that this approach is part of a sustainable dynamic of continuous improvement of the public transport network in the Congolese capital.
