“National Police of Butembo: Clear warning against any disturbance of public order”

Butembo National Police: A warning against any disturbance to public order

The Congolese national police, more precisely the urban police station of Butembo in the province of North Kivu, recently warned any movement which would try to disturb the public order in the city. This warning comes after the holding of the weekly parade led by the Senior Principal Commissioner POLO NGOMA-di-Ntoto Jean Paul.

In his speech, the Senior Chief Commissioner made it clear that any attempt to disturb public order would be severely reprimanded. He stressed that the police would not give in to pressure and were ready for any eventuality. He insisted that those who want peace will have peace, but those who seek disorder will come up against the security forces.

It should be noted that this warning comes following the circulation of messages and leaflets on social networks calling on the inhabitants of Butembo to observe two days without activities in memory of those who died during the recent demonstrations against the presence of MONUSCO in the province of North Kivu. These demonstrations have unfortunately led to the loss of human life, both among civilians and among blue helmets.

Faced with this situation, the police authorities of the urban police station of Butembo invited the population to freely go about their daily activities on Wednesday, stressing that no demonstration was authorized by the urban authority.

It is essential to keep in mind that security and public order are priorities to ensure the stability and well-being of the population. The Congolese National Police in Butembo is determined to keep the peace and protect the citizens against any form of disorder
