An innovative partnership for superior public services

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development recently released a report on a collaborative government performance enhancement project with the Administrative Justice Authority (AJA). This initiative aims to bolster national public service effectiveness and enhance citizens’ quality of life through the assessment and measurement of government performance. By providing factual data, decision-makers can enhance the performance of government officials and agencies.

Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala al-Saeed, underscored the project’s significance in optimizing public services and elevating citizens’ quality of life. She emphasized that the project will offer essential support to AJA officials in fulfilling their duties effectively.

Ashraf Abdel Hafeez, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation, outlined the project’s three main components: enhancing the government complaints processing system, developing disciplinary justice databases, and providing staff training.

This collaboration between the Ministry and AJA intends to establish effective tools for evaluating government performance and foster a culture of accountability and transparency within the administrative structure. Such an initiative is crucial for ensuring efficient governance and meeting citizens’ needs more effectively.

Ultimately, this project on government performance improvement marks a significant stride towards transparent, accountable, and efficient governance. It demonstrates the authorities’ dedication to strengthening institutional capacities and delivering quality public services to citizens.
