Plenary at the National Assembly for the validation of the mandates of elected deputies
In a press release published by the first secretary of the Provisional Office of the National Assembly, Serge Bahati, it is announced that a plenary session will be convened this Monday, February 12. The objective of this plenary will be the validation of the mandates of the national deputies elected during the elections of December 20.
This plenary session follows the reports of the 26 commissions which were set up to control the files of deputies. These commissions were responsible for verifying the conformity of the files of each elected official, as well as the conditions of eligibility for national deputation. They were also responsible for preparing respective reports and submitting them to the age office before being discussed in plenary.
This stage of validation of mandates is essential to ensure the legitimacy and representativeness of deputies within the National Assembly. It ensures that each elected official meets the required criteria and that he or she was elected in a transparent and democratic manner.
It is crucial to underline the importance of these elections in the consolidation of democracy in our country. MPs play an essential role in making political and legislative decisions, and their election is a decisive step in the functioning of our democratic system.
This plenary therefore represents a key moment in the process of forming the National Assembly. It will make it possible to officially validate the mandates of elected deputies and to continue to move forward in the democratic construction of our country.
It is therefore essential that this plenary takes place in the best conditions, respecting the principles of transparency, equity and justice. It is by guaranteeing a reliable and legitimate electoral process that we will be able to consolidate our democratic system and ensure fair and equitable representation of all citizens.
In conclusion, the validation of the mandates of national deputies is a crucial step in the formation of the National Assembly. This plenary will confirm the legitimacy of elected officials and guarantee democratic representation within the institution. This is one more step towards consolidating our democratic system and strengthening our democracy.
