The Congolese football world mourns the loss of Andy Magloire M’Futila, an emblematic figure in the sport. Former coach of TP Mazembe, club winner of the Champions League in 2009, Magloire M’Futila had also been part of the technical staff until May 2023. Unfortunately, he died in the early hours of Friday July 21.

This sad news was confirmed by TP Mazembe on its social networks. Magloire M’Futila had been hospitalized since last Sunday at the University Clinics of Kinshasa. His disappearance leaves a huge void in Congolese football.

Throughout his career, Andy Magloire M’Futila has led the biggest clubs in the DRC. He coached teams such as Sanga Balende, Bazano and the Diables Noirs in Congo-Brazzaville in 2019. He was known for his talent as a trainer and also managed the Leopards U20 in 2021.

His career has also led him to coach teams outside the DRC. He has offered his services to clubs such as APR in Rwanda, DCMP and VClub. His experience and expertise have always been highly valued in the world of football.
