New heads of sectors appointed in North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo
In an order dated July 18, 2023, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior, Security and Customary Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo announced the appointment of new heads of sectors in the territories of the various provinces. This list concerns in particular the province of North Kivu, where several changes of command have been made.
In the territory of Beni, in the sector of Ruwenzori, Kasereka Mapathi Japhet is heading the sectoral administration, thus succeeding Mr. Boozi Sindiwako Bin Vuhaka who held this position for more than 12 years. In the Beni-Mbau sector, Kakule Bulembo Pascal was appointed to replace Paluku Lumande Remy.
These appointments bear witness to the authorities’ desire to renew the heads of the sectors, in order to encourage better management of the territories and promote local development.

1. Territory of Beni
– Beni-Mbau sector: Kakule Bulembo Siviwe Pascal
– Ruwenzori Sector: Kasereka Mapathi Japheth
2. Territory of Lubero
– Bapere sector: Muhindo Sivikunula Macaire
3. Territory of Masisi
– Katoyi sector: Kichengele Bazungu Jacques
– Osso-Banyungu sector: Kipanda Mungo Biiri
4. Walikale Territory
– Bakano Sector: Selemani Bwani Kitunda
– Wanianga Sector: Petro Limbisa Alpha
It should be noted that the heads of sectors appointed in the provinces under a state of siege will only take office after the lifting of this exceptional measure.
These changes within the territorial administration are important to ensure better governance and more effective management of the territories. They will also make it possible to strengthen the presence of the State and promote local development in these regions.
