“Congo Airways is committed to resolving the situation of passengers stranded in Kindu with a special Kinshasa-Kindu flight”

Kinshasa-Kindu special flight: Congo Airways commits to resolving the situation of passengers stranded for two weeks

For two weeks, many passengers have been stranded in Kindu, in the province of Maniema, due to the repeated cancellation of Congo Airways flights. Faced with this situation which continues to worsen, the airline has finally committed to chartering a special flight to bring passengers back to Kinshasa.

The announcement was made by Maniema’s provincial transport minister, Assumani Mankunku Dady, during a meeting with the Congo Airways station manager and representatives of stranded passengers. According to the minister, this commitment was made following a discussion between provincial authorities and the airline’s general management.

However, this announcement comes after much frustration for passengers. Indeed, last Tuesday, a Congo Airways plane arrived in Kindu, raising hopes of imminent departure for the passengers. Unfortunately, the plane ultimately decided to go to Goma, leaving the passengers in an even more difficult situation. This decision caused great anger among travelers, who demonstrated their discontent at Kindu airport.

The company Congo Airways justified this cancellation by technical problems. However, the provincial transport minister expressed his disappointment and asked the company to provide individualized care to passengers as compensation.

Beyond this commitment for a special flight, Congo Airways is also committed to improving its services in order to avoid such situations in the future. The provincial minister assured passengers that authorities are closely monitoring developments and that the special flight will be organized before Friday.

This situation highlights the challenges faced by passengers and airlines in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Flight cancellations and frequent delays are commonplace, creating frustration and inconvenience for travelers. In this context, it is essential that authorities and airlines work together to ensure better service and passenger satisfaction.

In conclusion, Congo Airways’ commitment to charter a special flight for passengers stranded in Kindu is a step in the right direction. However, it remains essential to put in place sustainable measures to improve the quality of air services in the Democratic Republic of Congo and avoid such situations in the future. Passengers deserve reliable, quality air transportation that allows them to travel with peace of mind.
