The Political Center calls for a careful inventory of electoral irregularities

In a statement delivered during a press conference in Kinshasa, the national president of the Political Center, Germain Kambinga, asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) to carry out a careful census of all the irregularities observed during the legislative elections and municipal. He called on the CENI to report to the courts on these irregularities.

The Political Center launches a patriotic appeal to the Congolese people, warning them against sore losers who seek to sow confusion. Germain Kambinga invited the opposition to remain within the framework of the law and to prepare its defenses with a view to possible appeal to the Constitutional Court.

He also underlined the importance for the CENI to take all necessary legal measures and for justice to take up the CENI’s reports so that those who were involved in electoral fraud are subject to the rigor of the law.

This request from the Political Center reflects growing concern about the transparency of the electoral process in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Legislative and municipal elections are essential stages of democracy and it is crucial to ensure that they take place fairly and in accordance with the law.

Careful identification of electoral irregularities will shed light on possible fraud and establish confidence in the electoral system. It is essential for the consolidation of democracy in the DRC.

The Political Center also calls on the opposition to act within the framework of the law, by preparing its defenses for possible appeal to the Constitutional Court. This demonstrates the desire to respect democratic institutions and to find legal solutions in the event of electoral disputes.

In conclusion, the request of the Political Center to carefully identify electoral irregularities and report to the courts is an important step to guarantee the transparency and integrity of the electoral process in the DRC. It is essential that all stakeholders, including the CENI, the judiciary and the opposition, play their role to consolidate democracy in the country.
