Saint-Thérèse is hosting an important political gathering this Saturday, December 16, 2023. Martin Fayulu, candidate number 21 for the presidency of the Republic, spoke in front of a crowd of ECiDé activists who came in large numbers to listen to him.
In his passionate speech, Martin Fayulu addressed various subjects affecting national life, notably the case of the M23, foreign interference and tribalism. He first claimed that Félix Tshisekedi had not really won the 2018 presidential election, which, according to him, explains why he failed to improve the lives of the Congolese. Fayulu denounced the ethnic divisions created by Tshisekedi and recalled that the Congolese reject tribalism in their society.
He then pointed out foreign interference in Congolese political choices. According to Martin Fayulu, certain candidates have sold the country to foreigners and think that agreements must be concluded with them to access the presidency of the Republic. He denounced this practice and called for the defense of national sovereignty.
Corruption and bad governance were also highlighted by Martin Fayulu. He mentioned the 100 days project, which cost nearly $660 million without bringing significant results, as well as the failure of the Tshilejelu project. Fayulu deplored the misappropriation of public funds and the release of some corrupt officials, highlighting the need for a more effective fight against corruption.
Candidate number 21 also criticized Félix Tshisekedi’s attitude towards the M23 rebel group, which he allegedly hosted in Kinshasa for 14 months. Fayulu claimed that Tshisekedi had reached agreements with Rwanda and had the DRC join the East African Community, an organization over which Rwandan President Paul Kagame has considerable influence.
It is therefore with passion and determination that Martin Fayulu closed his electoral campaign in the Kongo-Central province. His speech, focused on the need to fight tribalism, foreign interference, corruption and bad governance, aimed to mobilize his supporters and encourage them to vote for him in the presidential elections.
It is obvious that Martin Fayulu is determined to bring significant changes to Congolese politics and to defend the interests of the Congolese people. His speech marks the end of an intense electoral campaign and portends a close electoral battle for the presidency of the Republic. Congolese voters will now have to make their conscious choice and decide who, in their opinion, is the candidate best able to meet their expectations and lead the country towards a better future.
