Floribert Anzuluni, a candidate for the presidential election in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), recently began his grassroots and outreach campaign in the Kwilu province. His visit to Kikwit, the region’s main town, marks the last stop before elections scheduled for December 20.
During this exchange with the local population, Floribert Anzuluni addressed several issues that concern residents. Unemployment, electricity, education, unsanitary conditions and the resurgence of tribalism are all subjects that were raised by the citizens present. They expressed concern over the erosion heads and ravines that are increasing in the city.
Floribert Anzuluni stressed that these concerns are shared across the country, from East to West. He reiterated his determination to fight against the predatory system of governance, to restore security throughout the national territory and to improve living conditions by diversifying the economy and creating jobs.
The candidate also highlighted the importance of justice and strengthening the judicial power for the development of the country. He intends to rely on these pillars if he is elected President of the Republic.
Floribert Anzuluni is the candidate of the “Alternative for a New Congo” (ACN) platform, which brings together members of civil society. His candidacy comes from the primaries of this platform, and he has not announced a withdrawal in favor of another candidate, unlike some of his competitors.
Born in Kinshasa, Floribert Anzuluni left the DRC due to political instability before returning to his country of origin. He had an international career in the banking sector and was involved in civic movements, notably Filimbi, which campaigns for increased civic participation of young people.
The end of the electoral campaign is approaching, and the general elections, including the presidential election, will take place on December 20. Floribert Anzuluni continues to mobilize voters and present his program focused on change and improving the living conditions of the Congolese.
