Indeed, the CAC was cited by the Cercle d’étude pour la protection de l’enfant et la famille (CEPEF) as an exemplary structure as a “Protective Community”. This recognition is the result of a community approach advocated by the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo, aimed at ensuring the protection of the most vulnerable children and families.

The CAC’s commitment to the community is based on effective coordination of activities, particularly involving local actors such as social workers. This approach makes it possible to initiate interventions at the community level to help children overcome their psychosocial, educational, health and economic difficulties, and to fully integrate into their environment.

Founded by former students of Collège Saint Joseph/Elikya, the CAC embodies the values of solidarity, education and intellectual development. Its action is deployed in different fields, ranging from education and scientific research to the promotion of democracy, citizenship and good governance.

In terms of education, the CAC provides financial support to deserving students, participates in the improvement of school infrastructure and encourages excellence among teachers. Through various activities, it encourages the involvement of students in community life and raises their awareness of the issues of citizenship and governance.

Social protection occupies a central place in the actions of the CAC, which promotes community solidarity aimed at preventing social risks and strengthening the social fabric. Through its commitment to children and families in precarious situations, the CAC demonstrates a desire to guarantee the well-being and safety of all members of the community.

In conclusion, the Alumni Circle of Saint Joseph/Elikya College stands out for its exemplary commitment to the protection of children and families.
