**The Rehabilitation Works of the Urban Roads of Kinshasa: A Major Step Forward for the Capital**
The rehabilitation and construction of the urban roads of Kinshasa are at the heart of the concerns of local and national authorities. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Judith Sumiwa, the works are progressing rapidly, marking a significant development in the beautification and modernization of the Congolese capital.
During a recent inspection tour, Judith Sumiwa expressed satisfaction with the progress made on several projects. She expressed her confidence in the team led by Governor Daniel Bumba to restore Kinshasa to its former splendor. This approach is part of the vision of the President of the Republic, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi, to revitalize urban infrastructure to improve the quality of life of citizens.
One of the major advances is the construction of Kulumba Avenue, a strategic axis that connects several districts of the city. This road under construction, located in the commune of Masina, will provide an important link with the Avenue des Poids Lourds, thus helping to relieve the often congested Boulevard Lumumba.
During this inspection, Judith Sumiwa and Daniel Bumba visited other arteries currently being renovated, such as Avenue Flambeau, Tombalbaye, Wangata, Kabambare, Zigida and Kisangani in Bandal, before finishing at Pumbu in Gombe. They noted with satisfaction the progress of the work on Avenue Colonel Ebeya, where concrete has already been poured between Avenues des Huileries and Wangata.
The support of the population is evident, with residents welcoming the initiatives taken by the authorities to address the challenge of the dilapidated urban road network. This collective mobilization demonstrates the importance given to improving essential infrastructure to promote mobility and economic development in the capital.
In conclusion, the rehabilitation of Kinshasa’s urban roads represents a significant step towards a more modern, functional and attractive city. The commitment of the authorities and the support of the population are key elements to successfully carry out these ambitious projects that will contribute to the development of all the inhabitants of the Congolese capital.
