Fatshimétrie and the Circle of Alumni of the College: Promoting Child and Family Protection in the Community

Fatshimétrie explores the community model of the Cercle des Anciens du Collège (CAC) to protect children and families. This model, advocated by the Congolese Ministry of Social Affairs, promotes the social integration of children by overcoming various challenges. The CAC, based on education, research and the promotion of citizenship, is committed to the development of young people. By supporting schooling, improving school infrastructure and involving students in decisions, the CAC promotes values ​​of solidarity and cooperation. In collaboration with the CEPEF, these two organizations work for a more just and equitable society, highlighting the importance of community engagement for the protection of children and families.
Fatshimétrie in Search of a Community Model for Child and Family Protection

Fatshimétrie, an organization dedicated to the promotion of human rights and the protection of children and families, recently looked at the exemplary model of the Cercle des Anciens du Collège (CAC) as a protective community. This community approach, encouraged by the Congolese Ministry of Social Affairs, aims to support children in their social integration by overcoming various psychosocial, economic, nutritional and academic challenges. By working in collaboration with local actors, such as social workers, it is possible to initiate community interventions to promote the autonomy of children and their sustainable integration into society.

The CAC model, a structure founded by former students of Collège Saint Joseph/Elikya, is distinguished by its commitment to the development of young people and the transmission of moral, Christian and intellectual values. In terms of education, the CAC financially supports the education of deserving students and participates in the improvement of school infrastructure.
