Strengthening relations between Egypt and Uzbekistan: fruitful cooperation in sight

Egypt and Uzbekistan have strengthened their bilateral relations by signing four memoranda of understanding at the 7th session of the Egyptian-Uzbek Joint Committee. These agreements have catalyzed cooperation in various fields such as trade, economy, science, technology and culture. The agreements were signed by representatives of both countries, including academic institutions and cultural organizations. The emphasis is on preserving cultural and historical heritage, as well as strengthening trade and economic ties. These cooperation agreements open new prospects for mutual development between Egypt and Uzbekistan.
The strengthening of bilateral relations between Egypt and Uzbekistan marked a milestone with the signing of four memoranda of understanding. These agreements, reached during the 7th session of the Egyptian-Uzbek Joint Committee, were a catalyst for cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, science, technology and culture between the two countries.

The Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation of Egypt, Rania al-Mashat, and the Uzbek Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change signed the agreements. Also worth mentioning was the signing of a cooperation agreement between Ain Shams University and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two institutions in the framework of joint academic programs and research activities.

In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Supreme Council of Antiquities in Egypt and the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, reflecting the importance attached to the preservation of cultural and historical heritage. Another agreement was concluded between the Uzbek region of Samarkand and the governorate of Alexandria, aimed at further boosting trade, economic, scientific, artistic and cultural ties between the two regions.

The cooperation agreement between Egypt and Uzbekistan is of crucial importance for the development of both countries. The protocol signed at this 7th session of the Joint Committee for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation provides for concrete actions to strengthen cooperation in 14 key areas, including trade, investment, industry, energy, health, agriculture, higher education, information technology, culture, tourism, civil aviation and transport.

This step marks a new chapter in relations between Egypt and Uzbekistan, paving the way for enhanced collaboration and mutually beneficial development opportunities for both countries.
