On this Wednesday, December 25, the faithful of Kananga gathered at St. Clement Cathedral to celebrate the Nativity Mass, in the presence of President Félix Tshisekedi and his wife. The Metropolitan Archbishop of Kananga, Mgr. Félicien Tambwe, delivered an inspiring homily, urging Christians to follow the example of Christ in their daily lives.
In his speech full of wisdom, Mgr. Tambwe called for the abandonment of individualism, lies and dishonesty, highlighting the values of sincerity, sharing and mutual aid advocated by Jesus. He also sent his wishes to the presidential couple, saluting the efforts of the Head of State for the development of the country.
The Archbishop stressed the importance of infrastructure such as roads and electricity for the people of Central Kasai, as well as the need to promote work and the local economy. He particularly congratulated President Tshisekedi for his commitment to building the Kananga-Kalambambuji road, a crucial project to boost the economy of this landlocked region.
The celebration of the nativity was thus an opportunity for the Kananga community to come together in faith and hope, under the benevolent gaze of their Archbishop and in the presence of their President. This event testifies to the importance of spirituality and solidarity in building a more just and fraternal society.
During this festive season, when sharing and kindness are in the spotlight, the nativity mass in Kananga reminded everyone of the importance of unity and faith in building a better future for all. May these moments of communion and reflection illuminate everyone’s path to peace and prosperity.
