Zahi Hawass pointed out that the Supreme Council of Antiquities had received the sum of 20 million Egyptian pounds for the filming permit granted to the American YouTuber. He claimed that MrBeast himself had clarified that he simply had a filming permit and that in no case had he rented the pyramids. Hawass firmly hammered home: “no one in the world can rent a pyramid”.
