The inhabitants of this territory live in constant fear of incursions by the Mai-Mai, armed groups operating outside the authority of the State and spreading terror among the population. These thugs do not hesitate to attack villages, killing defenseless civilians and looting their property, leaving behind a feeling of insecurity and desolation.

Among the victims recently recorded, we deplore the loss of lives of several men in uniform, including a lieutenant and a commander of the Armed Forces of the DRC, as well as a commander of the Congolese National Police.
