Betpawa and FECOFA united for the development of Congolese football during Kinshasa Solidaire

The first edition of “Kinshasa Solidaire” ended after three days of festivities dedicated to youth and peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This fun and cultural event brought together participants from all walks of life, united around a common cause: promoting unity and solidarity within Congolese society.

At the heart of this event, an exceptional partnership was born between Betpawa, a major player in sports betting in Africa, and the Congolese Football Association Federation (FECOFA). This partnership aims to support the development of football in the DRC, by investing in clubs and offering opportunities to young talents in the country.

During the signing ceremony, the General Manager of Betpawa DRC stressed the importance of redistributing part of the profits generated by sports betting for the benefit of sport, starting with football. This vision was shared by FECOFA President Dieudonné Sambi Nsele-Lutu, who welcomed this unprecedented and beneficial collaboration for all parties involved.

This partnership aims to be innovative in its way of operating, with a mechanism for distributing funds directly to clubs and players via mobile money. This transparency and efficiency are the result of close collaboration between Betpawa, FECOFA and football clubs, highlighting principles of good governance and fairness.

At the same time, Betpawa is continuing its commitment to promoting talent through its “Locker Room Bonus” project, aimed at supporting athletes and sports structures for sustainable performance. This talent development program is part of an approach of inclusion and diversity, offering opportunities to athletes from all backgrounds in Africa.

During a round table on inclusive and sustainable football, in the presence of the Minister of Sports and Leisure Didier Budimbu, enriching discussions took place on the challenges and opportunities in the world of football. This reflection is part of a dynamic of progress and innovation, highlighting the current challenges of sport in the DRC.

In conclusion, this “Kinshasa Solidaire” event marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between Betpawa, FECOFA and Congolese football stakeholders, paving the way for new perspectives for sport in the DRC. Thanks to partnerships of this magnitude and hopeful initiatives such as the “Locker Room Bonus”, Congolese football is preparing for a promising future, placed under the sign of excellence and solidarity.
