This year, the chosen theme highlights the importance of human rights in the fight against HIV/AIDS. It highlights the need to guarantee that each individual affected by this disease has their fundamental rights respected, in a context where stigma and discrimination persist.

In the DRC, actions are multiplying to strengthen the fight against HIV/AIDS. An awareness campaign will be launched from December 7th, aimed at informing and educating the population on the issues of this disease, but also at encouraging screening and treatment of infected people.

It is essential to remember that despite the progress made in recent years, HIV/AIDS remains a major challenge in the DRC, requiring continued efforts and significant resources from the authorities and national and international partners.
