On this memorable day of November 1, 2024, social media was rocked by Bobrisky’s arrest at the airport, sparking an incredible online buzz with videos showing the moment he was dragged off the plane and detained. The incident deeply shocked the online community, leaving some perplexed. Seyi Law spoke out on the matter, wondering why exactly the popular socialite was arrested in the first place.
“I don’t understand this Bobrisky thing, seriously. Did a court ban him from traveling? Why allow him to board the plane to humiliate him in this way?” he asked.
It is important to note that this is the second time Bobrisky has been arrested while trying to leave the country; the first being on October 22, 2024, when he was arrested at the Seme border post while reportedly trying to flee Nigeria by land.
It is worth noting that Bobrisky’s arrest came just hours after Isaac Fayose, a socialite and brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, posted pictures of himself and Bobrisky on board the plane on Instagram.
Expressing his excitement, he wrote: “Guess who is on the same flight as me to London, @Bobrisky222”.
After his arrest, Bobrisky took to social media to appeal to Nigerians for help, claiming that he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Commission.
His heartbreaking message read: “Nigerians, help me, the Economic and Financial Commission has just arrested me; I am seriously injured…”.
This sad episode has highlighted the complexity of the social and legal issues surrounding public figures in Nigeria and underscores the importance of an ethical and legal approach in managing these delicate situations. The Bobrisky case is therefore a striking testimony to the challenges and controversies faced by influential individuals in society.
