Magistrate Bokkos ordered the culprit to pay a fine of ₦20,000 or serve a six-month jail term. In addition, he was also ordered to pay ₦30,000 in damages to the complainant or serve another three months in jail.

The story began when the Prosecutor, Inspector Ibrahim Gokwat, presented the case before the court. On August 23, one Umar Adamu filed a complaint at the Laranto Police Station. He said the culprit and his accomplices broke into the complainant’s mother’s house, stole her phone and a bag containing the Holy Quran, and threatened the woman with a knife to stop her from screaming.
