This exceptional event, held in Rennes, France, highlighted the Congolese First Lady’s unwavering commitment to education and the training of an elite capable of supporting the country’s development.
Under the enlightened patronage of Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, the scholarship program was created in partnership with The Land Group, with the aim of promoting academic excellence and preparing a new generation of Congolese leaders. The 26 scholarship recipients were recognized for their dedication and commitment to education and innovation.
During the ceremony, the First Lady highlighted the importance of inclusiveness and diversity among Congolese youth, highlighting academic excellence as a key factor for the future of the country. This scholarship program, called Excellentia and launched in 2020 by the FDNT, aims to provide academic opportunities to talented young Congolese, allowing them to study both nationally and internationally. The first promotion of the initiative, named Promotion Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, followed a unique training path combining online teaching and face-to-face courses, offering them a double diploma recognized both in Congo and in Europe.
