Inauguration of the International Camel and Riding Club in Kharga: A New Era for Egyptian Sport

At the inauguration of the International Camel and Equestrian Club in Kharga Oasis, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stressed the importance of investing in sports and youth. Accompanied by dignitaries, he kicked off various sporting activities, highlighting the state’s commitment to developing young talents. The Club aims to boost the equestrian sector by providing world-class infrastructure to support international sporting events in Egypt.
At the inauguration ceremony of the new International Camel and Horse Riding Club in Kharga Oasis, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stressed the importance of investing in sports and youth in Egypt. Accompanied by several ministers and dignitaries, Madbouly kicked off the international marathon, car rally and camel race at this major event.

In his speech, Madbouly highlighted the state’s commitment, under the presidency of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, to give top priority to sports for its crucial role in youth development. He mentioned the significant investments made in sports infrastructure to host international competitions and support the country’s sporting talents.

The establishment of the International Camel and Horse Racing Club comes within the framework of the state’s emphasis on investing in sports, recognizing its essential role in developing young people and building the Egyptian character, the Minister of Youth stressed.

The Governor of the New Valley, in his speech, expressed his gratitude to President Sisi and the Prime Minister for their support to this region in southern Egypt in various development and service sectors.

Madbouli was briefed by the Minister of Youth on the Camel and Horse Racing Club located north of the city of Kharga on an area of ​​400 feddans. This club includes a 20-meter-wide and eight-kilometer-long sports track, with a total area of ​​4,750,000 square meters at a total cost of 40 million Egyptian pounds.

The inauguration of this club promises to boost the equestrian sector in Egypt, providing new opportunities for equestrian sports enthusiasts and strengthening the country’s sporting profile on the international stage. This initiative is part of the Egyptian government’s vision to promote sport and youth, supporting the development of local talent and providing world-class infrastructure to host major sporting events.
