Education is the foundation on which the aspirations and dreams of young generations are built. It is with this in mind that the rapporteur of the National Assembly, Jacques Djoli, recently encouraged students at the Emergie Primary School, located in the Pakadjuma district of the Limete commune in Kinshasa, to persevere in their studies to ensure a promising future.
During a warm exchange held in his office, on the occasion of International Children’s Day, Jacques Djoli gave wise advice to the children of this marginalized neighborhood. He promised to convey their concerns to the bureau of the Lower House of Parliament, thus demonstrating his willingness to defend the interests of the youngest.
The objective of this meeting was to break down the prejudices that limit the ambitions of the children of this disadvantaged neighborhood. Jacques Djoli stressed the importance of supporting and encouraging these young students, despite the obstacles encountered, to continue their studies with determination.
He stated that education represents a gateway to a better future, allowing everyone to realize their wildest dreams. Some students expressed their desire to become doctors, lawyers, or even president of the Republic or minister. These aspirations demonstrate the determination and potential of these young people to rise above their difficult environment.
The student representative of EP. Emergie explained the multiple difficulties faced by the inhabitants of the Pakadjuma district, such as the lack of basic infrastructure, the absence of traffic routes, and the inadequacy of health and education services. These challenges highlight the urgency of action to improve the living conditions of these children, by ensuring access to quality education and essential services.
By celebrating International Children’s Day under the theme “let’s listen to the future”, it is essential to recognize the importance of investing in the education of the younger generations. It is by providing them with the tools they need to flourish and achieve their full potential that we will ensure a bright future for our society.
As representatives of the people, we have a duty to support and accompany these children, in order to allow them to flourish fully and become the leaders of tomorrow. It is by investing in education and valuing the aspirations of young people that we will build a promising future for all.
