Under the leadership of the President of the Congolese Handball Federation, Marcel-Amos Mbayo Kitenge, these talented players have already distinguished themselves during their confrontations in Europe, showing significant progress. The victory against the Portuguese players only reinforced the team’s belief in its abilities and potential.

The Women’s CAN will be a real challenge for the DRC, which finds itself in Group B, alongside powerful teams such as Angola, Tunisia and Cameroon. However, these Leopards Ladies are ready to take up this challenge and defend the colours of their country with passion and determination.

The organisation of this competition in the DRC is of capital importance for the development of handball in the country. The construction of dedicated rooms at the Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecôte in Kinshasa demonstrates the commitment of the authorities to promote the sport and to offer Congolese athletes quality infrastructure to train and develop.

At a time when women’s sport is gaining momentum, the Leopards Ladies of the DRC embody the strength, grace and determination of Congolese women. Their journey during the CAN will be closely followed by an entire country that is already vibrating in unison behind these pioneers.
