According to information gathered by Nyiragongo civil society, the most significant attack took place at the home of the village chief Karambi, located in the Rusayu groupement but residing in Ndosho. Two of his children were hit by gunfire and had to be hospitalized urgently. In another neighborhood of Ndosho, a young credit dealer was also injured while returning home in the evening. These tragic events have multiplied, with another young man injured by gunfire in the village of Bugamba, in the Mudja groupement.

Thierry Gasisiro, Nyiragongo civil society rapporteur, reacted strongly to this unacceptable violence and called on the authorities to take immediate measures to ensure the safety of residents. The population of the surrounding neighborhoods of Goma now lives in daily anxiety, fearing increasingly frequent gunfire during the night.
