The Kalembelembe pediatric hospital recently received a valuable donation of digital equipment from the National Agency for Clinical Engineering and Digital Health (ANICNS). This initiative aims to support the digital transformation of the service of this health facility specializing in the care of children.
The delivery of this batch of equipment, including 40 workstations including 20 computers, 20 tablets and 5 routers, is part of the universal health coverage project launched by the President. Indeed, since 2019, the government has committed to providing free care to pregnant women, deliveries and newborns, with the main objective of ensuring the health of the population. The intervention of the ANICNS, focused on clinical engineering and digital health, aims to effectively support the overall functioning of the health system by providing high-performance digital tools.
The director of the Kalembelembe pediatric hospital expressed satisfaction with this donation, emphasizing the importance of this equipment in improving the quality of care and facilitating the management of medical data. Indeed, the digital kit will allow for better organization of work within the establishment, thus promoting optimal management of diseases and patients.
In addition to the material aspect, this equipment will allow the implementation of a Hospital Information System approved by ANICNS. This system aims to improve the work of caregivers, the quality of health data and the portability of the Electronic Patient Record. The deployment of this HIS is part of a global approach to digital transformation of the health sector in the DRC, entirely funded by the Congolese government.
Finally, ANICNS, as an organization dedicated to the digital governance of universal health coverage, is committed to supporting the development of digital health and clinical engineering in the country. This initiative is part of a broader dynamic aimed at improving the quality of health data, particularly in the context of free maternity and newborn care.
Ultimately, this delivery of digital equipment to the Kalembelembe pediatric hospital represents a major step forward in the modernization of health services in the DRC. Thanks to these innovative tools, the establishment will be able to strengthen its efficiency, responsiveness and quality of care, thus contributing to improving the health and well-being of the children in its care.
