Indeed, a comedy show entitled “La Rirotherapie”, also known as “laughter therapy”, is planned for November 10, 2024. This initiative aims to not only entertain the public, but also to contribute to the reduction of stroke rates in the region.

According to Ben Kamanda, the organizer of this unprecedented event, the inhabitants of Kinshasa face many challenges on a daily basis, which has unfortunately led to an increase in cases of stroke. Thus, offering moments of laughter and relaxation to the population can have a positive impact on the mental and physical health of individuals.

The show “La Rirotherapie” will bring together a host of talented artists from the DRC comedy scene, such as Lady Esobe, Vue de Loin, Serge Langila, Tata Liziba, Bob Kayemba, Norbert Egapa, and many others. In addition to the comedy performances, the program includes interludes of slam, music and dance, thus offering a varied and entertaining experience to the spectators.

Organized by the structure “Etambaola agency”, this show also takes on a special character in these times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Indeed, after a period of confinement and restrictions, offering the public a moment of lightness and joy is more than welcome.

In short, “La Rirotherapie” presents itself as a breath of fresh air in the cultural landscape of Kinshasa, combining humor, entertainment and well-being. In these difficult times, this event promises to bring smiles and remind everyone that laughter remains a valuable remedy to face life’s challenges. This ambitious initiative demonstrates once again the power of laughter and art as vectors of well-being and solidarity within the Congolese community.
