Fatshimetrie: Strengthening the Congolese economy through collaboration between the IGF and the ARSP

**Fatshimetrie: When the IGF and the ARSP work hand in hand to strengthen the Congolese economy**

In the current economic context of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the collaboration between the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) and the Regulatory Authority for Subcontracting in the Private Sector (ARSP) is of crucial importance to ensure the strengthening of the tax base of the Congolese State and promote the development of the middle class.

During a recent working session between the Head of the IGF Department, Jules Alingete Key, and the Director General of the ARSP, Miguel Kashal Katemb, the two organizations discussed the need to supervise the subcontracting value chain as part of the draft finance law for the 2025 financial year. The objective is clear: to channel resources towards the national economy and ensure that subcontracting companies effectively contribute to the country’s growth.

Miguel Kashal Katemb stressed the importance of this collaboration to promote the country’s economic development, in line with the vision of the President of the Republic. He stressed the essential role of subcontractors in the Congolese tax system and the need for them to become active taxpayers to support the State’s economic policy.

With this in mind, the IGF is committed to supporting the ARSP in identifying subcontractors and setting up an effective taxation mechanism. Jules Alingete Key welcomed the significant progress made in the subcontracting sector in the DRC, highlighting the efforts made by Miguel Kashal Katemb to promote the middle class and boost the national economy.

This collaboration between the IGF and the ARSP is in line with the political vision of Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi and the government program focused on mobilizing public revenue and promoting the middle class. The draft finance law for the 2025 financial year, presented to the National Assembly, demonstrates the government’s desire to strengthen the Congolese economy and ensure sustainable development for all citizens.

In conclusion, the synergies between the IGF and the ARSP are essential to ensure effective management of financial resources and encourage economic growth in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This strategic cooperation offers promising prospects for the future of the country and demonstrates the authorities’ commitment to implementing sustainable and inclusive economic policies.
