Fatshimetrie: Violent Gang Attack in Ndjili, Kinshasa – Victims Call for Justice
Last night, a new wave of terror hit the peaceful commune of Ndjili in Kinshasa. A group of criminals, identified as members of local gangs known as kulunas, launched a violent attack in the neighborhood, sowing terror and chaos among residents. At around 3 a.m., the assailants stormed a plot of land on Avenue Nzila, in Quartier 13, breaking into two homes.
Witnesses to the horrific scene reported that the criminals committed heinous acts, raping young girls and stealing valuables such as money, clothes and even a television. This attack is unfortunately not an isolated case, as several other families have been victims of similar violence in the same avenue this year.
A victim, still in shock, testified to the total lack of security in the area, deploring the lack of intervention by the competent authorities. This blatant impunity pushes criminals to reoffend, leaving residents living in constant fear of being the next victims of these savage attacks.
The residents of Quartier 13 are tired of living in terror and insecurity. They call on the authorities to take immediate measures to put an end to these criminal acts, and above all, to ensure the safety and protection of citizens. They demand justice for the victims and concrete measures to prevent such atrocities in the future.
It is high time that drastic and effective measures are taken to stem this wave of crime that is plaguing the commune of Ndjili. Residents deserve to live in peace and security in their own neighborhood, without fearing for their lives and property at every moment. It is the responsibility of the authorities to ensure the safety of all citizens and to ensure that justice is served for the victims of these cowardly and unjustifiable attacks.
