Fatshimetrie, October 30, 2024. The validation of data of career agents working for the State public services is at the heart of a nine-day workshop currently taking place in Matadi, in the Kongo Central province, in the southwest of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This workshop is of crucial importance because it aims to validate the information that will appear in the future alphabetical and digital directory of career agents of the public services of the State of Kongo Central. This publication will allow the province to identify cases of inactive or deceased agents, thus ensuring the accuracy of the workforce and data.

During the launch of this workshop, the Provincial Minister of the Civil Service of Kongo Central, Rémy Nsanzu, stressed the importance of this initiative for the transparency and efficiency of public administration. He also commended the efforts made by the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the Civil Service to realize President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi’s vision of improving the image of the public administration.

As part of this workshop, a delegation from the Civil Service from Kinshasa, accompanied by division heads, will work together to analyze the data of agents presented in advance for their certification and biometric identification. This approach aims to ensure control of staff numbers and payroll.

Justin Muntumosi, National Director of the Civil Service in the DRC, stressed the importance of validating the data of certified and biometrically identified agents in the public administration reference file in order to ensure the integrity of the information.

The work of this workshop, which will take place from October 29 to November 6, benefits from the technical support of the World Bank, under the supervision of the Public Finance Reform Steering Committee (COREF). These meetings follow the first wave of operations to identify agents and clean up data from the provincial division of the Kongo Central Civil Service, which allowed agents to obtain their biometric cards.

In short, this workshop is of capital importance to guarantee transparency, efficiency and regularity of staff within the public services of the State of Kongo Central, thus contributing to the overall improvement of Congolese public administration.
