Fatshimetrie, October 27, 2024 – A citizen mobilization was launched in Mbandaka, an emblematic city in the Equateur province in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This initiative, orchestrated by the youth league of the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS), aims to raise awareness among the population about the need for a constitutional revision in the country.
Me Djino Bolodjwa, the president of the youth league of the UDPS Equateur, spoke at this event to explain what this constitutional revision advocated by articles 18 and 19 of the fundamental law consists of. He highlighted the reasons justifying this approach and urged citizens to support President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo in his efforts for the development of the country.

It is important to emphasize that this awareness campaign is part of a complex political and social context where the issues of stability and development are at the heart of the population’s concerns. In a country marked by a turbulent history, the issue of constitutional revision must be approached with caution and taking into account the legitimate aspirations of the Congolese people.

This participatory and inclusive approach is essential to strengthen democracy and guarantee sustainable and equitable development for all the country’s inhabitants.
