As part of the first edition of the Vocational Training Fair held in Kinshasa from October 24 to 26, opportunities multiplied for thousands of young Congolese people seeking training and professional integration. With more than 4,000 registrations recorded for diverse programs, this event proved to be a real platform for meetings and exchanges between future professionals and players in the sector.
The aim of this fair was to reform the Congolese education system by emphasizing the importance of matching the training offered with the needs of the labor market. Indeed, it is essential that young people can acquire skills adapted to the jobs of today and tomorrow, in order to promote their professional integration and thus contribute to the economic development of the country.
The strengthening of the partnership between companies and training institutions was also highlighted during this event. This collaboration is essential to ensure that the training offered meets the real needs of employers and allows learners to acquire practical and up-to-date skills.
The Minister of Vocational Training, Marc Ekila, stressed the importance of integrating vocational training into the country’s development projects. Indeed, financing vocational training is a major issue to ensure the quality and sustainability of training programs, while promoting the inclusion of young people in the labor market.
The Prime Minister also expressed her support for this initiative, emphasizing her commitment to job creation and improving the professional integration of young Congolese people. This fair thus highlighted the key role of vocational training in the development of human capital and the country’s economic growth.
This first edition of the Vocational Training Fair was a real success, and similar events are planned in other cities across the country next year. This demonstrates the commitment of the Congolese authorities to education and vocational training, to offer Congolese youth the best chances of success in a constantly changing world.
