Fatshimetrie is an independent and committed online media that covers political and social events in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Recently, the new civil society of Masimanimba launched a call for the mobilization of the population to become actively involved in the ongoing electoral process in the Kwilu territory. This call comes as the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) has begun the operation of updating the mapping in preparation for the legislative elections scheduled for December 15.

The 2nd vice-president of this citizen organization, Olivier Mbangala, called on the candidates for parliament to actively prepare for the upcoming electoral contests. He stressed the importance of citizen participation in the democratic process, inviting both voters and candidates to mobilize. According to him, it is crucial that everyone understands that the future of the territory, the province and the entire nation is at stake.

In this dynamic, the CENI has deployed twelve cartographic experts in the different sectors of Masimanimba to carry out the operation of updating the electoral mapping. At the same time, the operation of issuing duplicates to voters who have lost their voter cards has also begun.

Local civil society welcomes the commitment of the CENI and strongly encourages the population to be actively involved in the electoral process. The objective is to guarantee transparent, inclusive and legitimate elections, which truly reflect the will of the Congolese people.

In this crucial period for democracy in the DRC, it is essential that each citizen feels concerned by the future of his country and actively participates in the construction of a more just and equitable society. The call for mobilization launched by the new civil society of Masimanimba is therefore a unique opportunity for everyone to contribute to the building of a solid democracy that respects the rights of each person.
