Lubumbashi, October 24, 2024:
Two cases of Mpox or monkeypox have recently been confirmed in Lubumbashi, an event that is causing great concern in the Haut-Katanga province, Democratic Republic of Congo. Local authorities have responded quickly to raise awareness and put in place essential preventive measures.

The provincial government of Haut-Katanga has already taken measures to ensure the safety of schools and guarantee free care for patients in the region’s referral hospitals.
