Fatshimetrie, an online publication focusing on current events and social issues in the Democratic Republic of Congo, highlights the importance of mentoring young girls in the country. During an exchange workshop organized in Kinshasa, voices were raised to request government support for these young women in order to promote their personal development and contribute to a societal balance.
Ornella Aosa, coordinator of the NGO “Action pour le développement doré d’Afrique” (ADDA), emphasizes that young Congolese girls must become aware of their value and potential to contribute positively to society. She emphasizes the importance of mental health as a fundamental pillar of individual and collective development, and invites these young women to adopt an ambitious vision for the future, beyond superficial appearances, in order to positively impact their environment.
Derrick André Lushima, a mental health expert, highlights the essential role of the government in the prevention, promotion and development of mental health. He emphasizes that psychological balance is at the heart of all human progress and calls for general mobilization to raise awareness on this crucial issue. Women are encouraged to engage in this awareness-raising to prevent any form of mistreatment and promote effective psychological support.
In a context where socio-cultural constraints sometimes hinder the development of young girls, it is crucial to support them in their journey. The president of the Limete youth, Christevie Melly, highlights the vision of these young women on the future of Congolese society and calls for the promotion of their emancipation. She emphasizes the need for sustained mentoring to guide these young girls towards a promising future and encourage them to become agents of change.
The participants in this workshop expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the event and stressed the importance of these initiatives in their training and emancipation. They call for the continuity of these activities and request the government’s support to promote the supervision of young Congolese girls, in order to help them flourish and contribute positively to tomorrow’s society.
In short, the supervision of young girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo is a crucial issue for the harmonious development of the country. Through concrete actions and sustained support, it is possible to enable these young women to realize their full potential and become agents of change in a constantly evolving society.
